Muzaffar Ali In Conversation with Nelofar Currimbhoy

A splendid evening with the film-maker, painter and poet, well-known for his sensitive portrayal of women in his classic movies- Umrao Jaan, Gaman, among others. The evening saw a prolific interaction with Muzaffar Ali as our ELSA Nelofar brought out valuable insights from him: on how he derives inspiration from the culture of different periods and places, what inspires him, his muses and how he views the changing world of cinema and women's characterization.

Will there be another Umrao Jann- who knows? But Muzaffar Ali is a revivalist for sure! Meera Ali, the accomplished architect also joined the Talk and inspired us with her journey and influence on Muzaffar's works.

Such a humbling experience as Muzaffar and Meera interacted with the audience on their other creative ventures such as the House of Kotwara.
