Principal, Dr Suman Sharma welcomed all to the college, and took all to the new block. It was a lovely afternoon as we walked through the classes and conference rooms, the greens and canteen, reminiscing about our lovely years in the college. The ambience was festive, with various college societies practising their acts, be it dance or drama. as always, the beautiful floral rangolis that the staff and the gardeners had so painstakingly made had us mesmerised. We cannot thank Dr Suman Sharma enough for her time and the staff and workers of the college for all their efforts!

Delhi ELSAs descended upon the quiet environs of Bikaner House for Diwali lunch and brought to life this beautiful venue with their laughter and stories. It was a fun-filled afternoon with ELSAs festively dressed, swapping tales and meeting with such warmth over delicious Kashmiri cuisine.

Around 50 ELSAs met in Mumbai on the 13th of October, 2019, to kick off the festive season. The venue was The Club in the suburbs. Apart from filling up the room with sarees in a myriad of hues, it was a time to go down memory lane for every one present. The class of 1970 to the class of 2008 were represented by the Mumbaikar ELSAs. Those present also participated in the Goonj Daanutsav by making contributions, which were sent to the Goonj collection centre in Mumbai. |

SPELL-BINDING LALBAGH BANGALORE
For those who missed it in August (Remember Bangalore Elsas were playing hosts to Namma Elsa) the Spell binding walk was organized a second time by ELSA Bangalore ( thanks Linika Kumar and Aparna Das!) in Lalbagh Bangalore - a garden spread across hundreds of acres with one of the widest variety of fauna seen in one place! Vijay Thiruvady - raconteur par excellence - kept us enthralled with his recounting of the history of the place and the many nuggets he has experienced through his guided walks over the years! Perfect ending with brunch at the iconic MTR (Mavalli Tiffin Room) which hasn’t changed since it was set up in 1924 ( apart from a modernized kitchen!) History trivia: Battle of Plassey was fought in a grove of Palash trees and was called Plassey cos the British could not pronounce Palash!
We all know that travelling together is a wonderful way to discover the world, ourselves, and each other. TravELSA is a group for Elsas by Elsas. Join/ follow travelsa on facebook
ELSA TALK SEASON 2, TALK 1
Subtext of Anger : A film and discussion by Vandana Kohli on October 6th 2019.
We at Bangalore, were very proud to kickstart Season 2 of Elsa Talks with the film screening of a fellow Elsa based in Mumbai. Vandana Kohli's film titled " Subtext of Anger" is a very nuanced film dealing with the emotion of anger and it's expression. This 45 minute documentary deals with the triggers, effects, recognition and finally the awareness of the emotion.
The screening of the film was followed by a discussion on the subject which saw enthusiastic participation by the audience. It went on well past the time limit that the Bangalore International Centre and Elsa had budgeted for. A season well started and a film well received.
Vandana Kohli is a well known filmmaker, writer and musician. Her films have won many awards. She has done a fantastic film on LSR too!
ELSA BANGALORE EVENT 2
Renowned theatre persona Elsa Lillete Dubey travelled the country with her latest production Devika Rani .. also scripted by our Elsa Kishwar Desai. Seen here with Elsas in Bangalore. Lillete exclaimed that it was such a joy to be with all of us and the support she receives from us is amazing!
